Flute Maker and Musician
Born in Dublin and growing up in Bray, County Wicklow, Martin now lives and works near Liscannor in County Clare. He has a long history of instrument making, beginning with his father making whistles from the bark of sycamore trees. He plays the wooden flute but also tin whistle, concert flute, uilleann pipes, banjo, mandolin, piano and electronic keyboards.
Martin set up a flute work shop in 1984 while still working as a maintenance enginneer but in 1997 he went full time into flute making and his instruments are in great demand.
You can find more information about Paul on the Martin Doyle Flutes website.
