Based in West Auckland, New Zealand, Maurice Reviol learned his trade in Nauheim, Germany and Cambridge, England. He met Cillian Ó Briain from Dingle, County Kerry, in 1998 and spent 5 years working with him making Uilleann-Pipes and Low Whistles. He also began making wooden flutes but still found time to meet his wife and they have now moved to her home in New Zealand.
In addtion to making wooden flutes, Maurice also handcrafts low whistles in aluminium and carries out repairs on all woodwind instruments - fifes, piccolos, bassoons, oboes, clarinets etc.
