Jamie Laval - fiddle

From his home in North Carolina, Jamie is regarded as "One of North America's finest practitioners of traditional Scottish music" (San Jose Mercury News). Classically trained at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, his music spans the tastes of traditional, jazz and classical music.


In 2002 Jamie launched his Celtic music career when he won the US National Scottish Fiddle Championship. Then in 2003 he recorded his first solo album 'Shades of Green', this was followed in 2007 by 'Zephyr In The Confetti Factory' and 'Murmurs and Drones' in 2012.

Jamie is in demand as a teacher of fiddle master classes in summer music camps and also lectures frequently at California State University.
