John Williams - Concertina
John Williams plays concertina, accordion, flute and bodhran. Although born and raised in Chicago, John also got much of his traditional background from summers spent in Doolin, County Clare meeting up with the local musicians there and in Lisdoonvarna.
In 1995 along with Winifred Horan, Karan Casey, John Doyle and Seamus Egan, John formed the group Solas and released two internationally acclaimed recordings, Sunny Spells in 1996 and Scattered Showers in 1997.
John has also performed in other music genres including bluegrass with Tim O'Brien, jazz with Bob Sutter, and the London Symphony Orhestra.
